Aim of the Service
Our aim is to get individuals with Chronic Lung Conditions comfortable and back moving in the gym. This service will help improve self-management skills for those with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and other respiratory conditions. Our staff are qualified Personal Trainers who are trained specifically to work this group. The exercises classes are for one hour and can be tailored to the individual. Eligibility
Prior to commencing Lungs in Action, you must have completed the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program. If you have done this in the past and not sure how long ago, please call our Intake Officer to discuss
How to get an appointment
Your GP will need to refer you into the Pulmonary Rehab Program prior to being able to attend the classes at Primary Care Connect.
Once you have been referred into the Lungs in Action program our Intake staff will contact you to arrange some paperwork for your first class.
